Q? What is the process to apply to Beaconhouse?
A. Due to the large volume of applications, we do not take applications directly from international students. We have a number of agents whose contact information (phone, email, address) are provided. Please contact any one of the agents and they will guide you through the application process.
Q? What is the living expenses for a student?
A. Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC) estimates living costs in Canada (excluding Quebec) to be around CAD$15,000 per year (2016) per student. Above living costs are estimated and based on minimum expenses for living in Ontario as an international student. Beaconhouse does not warrant these expenses as costs may vary based on student preference and/or overall cost of living. These estimates are being provided for reference only.
Q? Our agent tells us that the first three (3) months living and food will be free from Beaconhouse in Canada?
A. All our fees are clearly listed on the invoice. They are also listed on the “Statement of Accounts” issued as part of the letter of acceptance. There are no “hidden fees or costs”. We do NOT provide any accommodation. We do NOT provide any food.
Q? Does Beaconhouse charge for medical insurance?
A. Beaconhouse DOES NOT charge for Medical Insurance. Medical Insurance is mandatory for international students ONLY AFTER they arrive in Canada. A number of insurance companies provide this coverage to students, once they are in Canada. The premiums for this coverage have to be paid directly to the insurance company, and Beaconhouse is NOT involved in collecting these premiums.

Q? Is tuition fees refunded if visa is rejected?

A. Refund of Advance Annual Tuition is made in case the Student Visa is declined for any reason, by the relevant Canadian Consulate/Embassy.

Applicant is required to mail to us, on our mailing address, the original rejection letter (no photocopies or scanned copies).

All refunds are made by wire transfer to the account from which the money was received, less CAD$500.00 to cover admin/bank charges.

We will transfer the refund within 8 to10 weeks from receiving the required paperwork.

Beaconhouse is NOT responsible for any losses that might occur due to exchange rate fluctuations.

All refunds are paid in Canadian dollars.

Q? How do we verify that an invoice is genuine/real?
A. Please send a scanned copy of the invoice to: international@beaconhouse.ca Our International Admission Team will check the records and respond within two (2) business days. No calls or personal visits please. We also mail out the original invoice to every applicant, by regular mail.
Q? Is the visa to Canada guaranteed?
A. Beaconhouse does not warrant/guarantee issue of Study-Permit/Student-visa. The issue of Study-Permit/Student-visa is the sole authority of the Visa Officer at the relevant Canadian Consulate/Embassy. Q? Our agent says that parents can come to Canada with minor child, is this true?
A. Our letter of acceptance is for the student only. Parents/guardians may apply for a visitor visa. Please contact the nearest Canadian Consulate/Embassy for more information. Or visit the website for Citizenship & Immigration Canada for additional information.http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/
Q? Our agent says that parents that come to Canada with minor child can work, is this true?
A.  Parents/guardians may apply for a visitor visa. However, this will be a separate process/application and Beaconhouse is NOT involved in this. Q? What is admission/PLAR fees

A.  Admission fees are for admission in Beaconhouse. This is CAD $350 only, payable in advance of issue of Letter of Acceptance. This fee is non-refundable.
